The casita's charming exterior features large windows and doors which open on to a large terrace and custom-made table. The spacious, rock-walled casita includes a full-sized bed plus a seating area for reading, playing games or watching television. The casita's custom-made table sits alongside large French doors which open into a private patio. A lovely ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower adjoins the casita's living area Entering the front doors of the main house, the stairs on the left lead up to the second-floor master suite. The passage on the right leads toward the living room (rear) with the kitchen, breakfast- and dining rooms on the right. To get to heart of the house, guests enter the double front doors, pass through the foyer, and descend a few steps. The spectacular double-heighted living room, with its glorious, light-filled windows, sensuous arches and concave brick ceiling sits at the end of the entrance hall. With the living room’s intricately designed boveda brick ceiling and the formal dining room’s dramatic archways, guests are certain to "ooh and ahh." Arched French doors open out from the living room on to the serene, pergola-covered rear garden terrace. Clivia punctuate the rear gardens with vibrant pops of orange. Mounds of purple Mexican sage populate the rear gardens. The romantic, formal dining room overlooks the living room through graceful arches. Custom-made, glass-doored cabinets encircle the kitchen—perfect for displaying your china and crystal collections. Accent lights highlight your treasures, while under-cabinet lighting flood your countertop workspaces. The kitchen island features a five-burner gas stove, surrounded by granite countertops and custom-built cabinetry. Opposite the island, two large, deep sinks overlook the garden. To the right stands a large-capacity, double-doored refrigerator/freezer, and to the left, a raised dishwasher. With an open-walled kitchen, you can chat with your guests in the living room while wrapping up some last minute meal-prep on those deep, uninterrupted countertops. Sitting amongst the ample cabinets, pull-out drawers and wine rack are two built-ins: an Advantium microwave/speed-cook oven and a traditional conventional/convection oven. When you're not up for eating in the formal dining room, head to the sun-filled breakfast room—located right off the kitchen. Off the entrance hall, a cozy, first-floor powder room awaits your houseguests. The office features a large, built-in glass desktop with custom-built wooden bookshelves on both sides. The hide-away queen-sized bed in the guest room slides easily in and out of the wall. When you're guest-free, simply push the bed back into its hidden cubby! In the guest bathroom, the glazed blue and white ceramic tile is a showstopper. The heated floors (featured throughout the entire house) make stepping out of the shower a pleasure on a cold morning. When your exercise space has a view of the city, you can't help but be motivated! The summertime temperatures in Guanajuato are likely perfect for your guests, yet there's a fan on the arched brick ceiling of the guest room. Look at the details in that brick ceiling! Up the wooden steps to the second-floor master suite! The tranquil, upper terrace faces west, delivering gorgeous orange skies come sunset. The second-floor master suite is spacious, airy and light, with enormous windows that open up to views of the rear gardens. At night, lie in bed and look up at that gorgeous boveda ceiling, rimmed.
